Description

The September Fall Makerspace STEM Reading Comprehension Task Card Activity is intended for Kindergarten-2nd grade students. This resource contains 6 different custom Makerspace tasks that accompany 6 "Listen to Reading" stories with QR codes. The theme of this unit is "September" themed books. The book themes include fall, apples, and the fair. We included two non-fiction books as well in this unit. The tasks work in a classroom or library Makerspace with any materials...the more creative your students can be, the better!

You can use our Comprehension Creation Station in a variety of ways both in a classroom or library Makerspace: During Literacy Centers/Daily 5 time, morning work, student enrichment for early finishers, or you can even use it for fun, family activities at home!

When students are finished listening to the stories and completing the custom Makerspace tasks, they can complete one of the 10 differentiated, standards-based comprehension worksheets.

**To use this product, students will need access to a QR Code Reader.**

**All QR codes are linked to books uploaded in video.link. Please make sure school allows access to this site before purchasing**

My students love using this for Listening to Reading. They are motivated to complete the comprehension piece so they can move on to creating! I love the variety of response sheets- they are very age appropriate for my 1st graders and allow me to differentiate for all my learners easily. I love the tasks that go along with each story. I can't wait for October!
