Set 2 STUDENT CREATED Multi-step Word Problem Sentence Stems (Mad-lib style)

These mad-lib type frames have been a staple in my room to start some of the best math conversations around my classroom. Students love to see their own names on task cards and they love to challenge their friends. The cards provide gentle guidelines while encouraging critical thinking and creativity using two step or multistep problems.

Included in Each Sentence Stem Set:

1. 40 numbered Sentence Stem cards (4 to a page)

2. A foldable flap for students to hide their answers on the back

3. Full page size for teacher model.

4. Completed sample problem.

5. Full page print friendly version

6. Extra numbered cards (blank circles for a number) – These let students who have spilled, or accidentally torn a card to renumber a blank card.

7. Blank version (no numbers) – I use these for anchor charts and math journals

8. Student response page

9. Teaching hints.
