Simply print and attach these journal labels to the front of composition books, marble notebooks, or spiral notebooks. Students will love choosing a journal topic, writing their own entry, and reading or responding to what classmates have written. It’s an authentic, low-prep way to build writing fluency, motivation, and peer connection in your classroom.

How It Works in the Classroom:

Print and attach the Shared Journal Labels to composition books, spiral notebooks, or marble notebooks. Place them in your writing center or Daily 5 Work on Writing area for students to select and write in. Students take turns adding entries, reading peers’ responses, and building a collection of class stories. This activity encourages authentic writing practice, peer connection, and reading comprehension — with minimal prep for you!
