This is a PowerPoint that discusses work and simple machines. It covers the basics of what work is, how to know if work is being done, and then introduces the six types of simple machines. Students fill in a guided note sheet as they listen. There is a table where they list each type of simple machine, describe it, draw a picture of it, and identify other examples. This resources pairs well with my Simple Machine Game activity.
