I modified this project a bit to suit my needs but I appreciate the details in this resource!
This was a really fun way to consolidate all of our knowledge of simple machines at the end of the unit.
We used this as a unit challenge for simple machines. It was wonderful to see how different teams came up with very different solutions.
My students LOVED this project. The story really helped the students define a purpose for their inventions and helped with keeping them on track when they were building and designing. Providing steps was super beneficial to their planning process.
Great resource and end of unit project. Kids had so much fun!
