Description

Your students are going to love this project! It is a fun way to introduce, teach, or review simple machines. Students can do this project independently, with a partner, or  groups.

You can have the students do the sketch and just create the project. Take it a step farther and you can have them give oral presentations of their simple machines. You can extend it more and have the students do a writing report describing the energy transfers. The options are endless!

Depending on how much you extend this project depends on how much time it will take your class to finish. I normally plan 4-5 days.

This is what is included for this project:

  • Simple Machines Notes page
  • Instructions Page
  • Student sketch/Planning page
  • Reflection page
  • Writing page
  • Rubric

Distance Learning

This is a great product that will work well for learning at home. Many of the pages will need to be printed in order for students to respond. Choose the pages to send home/email or just focus on the project. Students can take picture and send to you for you to grade it.
