My district recently adopted the Singapore Math program. It is aligned with the Common Core and very close to the Math Modules. I do find that there is a lot of prep work required before each lesson is taught. If you are like me and already have 1,000 things to do each day you really don’t have the time to make copies, cut out pictures, etc. I started to create a week’s worth of lessons on the smartboard so I have one less thing to worry about in my day. My first graders enjoy getting the chance to use the smartboard. If you are using the Singapore Math program I think you will find this very helpful. I used the teacher edition scripts and created all the activities so that all you have to do is have the teacher manual and this smart file and you and your students will be all set. I will continue to post lessons as I make them.
