Here is a smart notebook program that will last the entire school year! I am sure your students will enjoy it as much as mine do. There are two pages for all the letters of the alphabet. The first page is where you introduce the letter and show the children the correct formation. You can call children up 1 at a time to have them practice on the smart board. This is a great smart notebook activity for short vowels. The first few weeks of first grade are spent on short vowels. I collected these songs and then made them into fun, interactive smart board activities. Children enjoy the pictures as well as the fun rhythm in the songs. I also print them out so the children can add the songs to their poetry books. When I introduce a vowel we sing the vowel song as part of our morning meeting each day.
