Description
This packet is centered around the common core math standards and includes a bonus writing activity. Clip art is centered around "Smores" with cute marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate.
This packets contains:
1. "Smore Sums Please": Students will work on finding sums using a ten frame mat, double ten frame mat, and counters. All are included with answer sheet. This is also a great review of the commutative property. No matter what order the addends are in, the sum remains the same.
2. "Smore Marshmallows Please": Students will work on finding the missing addend. Included are counters, a part-part whole workmat, and recording sheet. This is also a great review for fact families.
3. Graham Cracker Place Value: Students will match numbers to base ten blocks. On recording sheet, students will record the number and draw the picture using base ten blocks.
4. More Chocolate Please: Students will compare pieces of chocolate and choose the greater/less than piece. Greater than and less than symbols are provided.
Bonus Writing Activity: After discussing what a smore is and how to make them, students will create a sequence of events book. Students will use key words: first, next, then, and last to write their books. Included are a cover page and writing pages. Download Preview only has some of the pages shown, not all of them.
