Description
The focus of the lesson is to have students create dialogue tags that use precise language to express an intended emotion to improve students' writing. Students will work with partners throughout the lesson to identify synonyms for said, categorize synonyms based on emotions, and then utilize them to create appropriate dialogue tags. Students will be involved in real-life thinking, analytical thinking, and categorizing. Throughout the lesson students will be asked to justify their thinking and provide support for their answers. Included is the Smartboard presentation, lesson plan, graphic organizer, assessments, and ticket out the door. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO TEACH THE LESSON! The lesson plan is VERY detailed and is created around the new TEAM evaluation model.
