Included are five different task cards for 4th Grade Common Core Math. These task cards cover standards 4.NF.1, 4.NF.2, and 4.NF.3. These standards focus on equivalent fractions, ordering fractions, and adding/subtracting fractions. These tasks will require students show mastery of the standards through critical thinking and application. Students are required to explain thinking in each of the tasks.

This file contains 5 3rd grade Common Core Tasks. These tasks address standards 3.OA.1, 3.OA.2, and 3.OA.3. These standards involve representing and solving problems involving multiplication and division. Each task requires critical thinking and justification in order for the students to show mastery.

This Smartboard document reviews the three branches of government with the students. It also contains two interactive pages. The first has students sort the responsibilities of the federal, state, and local government. The second involves students distinguish the federal, state, and local representatives for each of the three branches of government.

Three documents are included in this lesson. The first is a sorting activity for the three multiplication properties (associative, distributive, and commutative) that requires students to sort mathematical problems into the appropriate properties category. Also included are to independent assignments that require students to identify properties and solve equations. These documents go great with the Multiplication Properties Smartboard Document I have available.

The focus of the lesson is to have students create dialogue tags that use precise language to express an intended emotion to improve students' writing. Students will work with partners throughout the lesson to identify synonyms for said, categorize synonyms based on emotions, and then utilize them to create appropriate dialogue tags. Students will be involved in real-life thinking, analytical thinking, and categorizing. Throughout the lesson students will be asked to justify their thinking

This is a powerpoint Jeopardy review game for multiplication and division. The Jeopardy headings are estimating, finding products, finding quotients, order of operations, word problems and divisibility. The multiplication category contains 2 digit times 2 digit and 2 digit times 3 digit problems. The division category has problems with both single and double divisors.

This Smartboard Notebook file contains information on finding rhyme scheme. Examples are given with detailed explanation. Sample poems are provided for students to identify specific rhyme schemes.

Attached are vocabulary cards for visual arts, music, dance, and drama. The cards contain a key vocabulary word and appropriate picture or illustration. The cards are created so that three fit per page.

As Common Core implementation takes place across the country, it is important for teachers to have easily accessible documents when planning. This file contains an excel document contains ALL ELA Standards for each grade K-5. The document is manipulable and allows for teachers to create mastery checklists, planning guides, etc. with ease. Each grade level's standards are printable in a minimal amount of space, allowing for easy planning.

This is a Smartboard Notebook Document that covers the different multiplication & division properties. Informational slides for each property with examples and descriptions are included. Problems for students to work and classify are also included.

This rubric can be used in assessing any summary written by a students. It contains categories for topic sentence, conclusion sentence, details, sequence, and grammar/spelling. This is four point rubric.

This document combines social studies and content area reading skills. Students will use the hardships faced by the pioneers to work on cause and effect. A word bank helps with the process. Students will have to identify both cause and effect.
