Description

Get ready for some winter fun with this interactive snowflake craft! This engaging and low prep activity is an excellent opportunity for speech practice while celebrating the winter season.

  1. Prepare the Materials: Print the snowflake template and review the target articulation sound.
  2. Articulation Practice: Have the student practice the 30 articulation target words. There are 10 words for each position (initial, medial, and final). Target speech sounds include the following: /k, g, z, s, f, v, ch, sh, j, r, th, l/.
  3. Create the Snowflake: After each production, the student can rip and glue a cotton ball on the target picture or use makers/daubers to color it in. Continue this process until the entire snowflake is covered.

This festive winter snowflake craft not only allows students to have a blast getting creative but also gives them plenty of opportunities to practice their speech sounds. It's a fantastic way to make speech therapy fun and engaging during the winter season. Enjoy the snowy, speech-filled fun!

Great worksheet for winter. My students glued on cotton balls and they thought is looked like snow. A great way to make speech fun. The worksheet is easy to use and I appreciate the simplicity of it.
