Get ready for some winter fun with this interactive snowflake craft! This engaging and low prep activity is an excellent opportunity for speech practice while celebrating the winter season.
- Prepare the Materials: Print the snowflake template and review the target articulation sound.
- Articulation Practice: Have the student practice the 30 articulation target words. There are 10 words for each position (initial, medial, and final). Target speech sounds include the following: /k, g, z, s, f, v, ch, sh, j, r, th, l/.
- Create the Snowflake: After each production, the student can rip and glue a cotton ball on the target picture or use makers/daubers to color it in. Continue this process until the entire snowflake is covered.
This festive winter snowflake craft not only allows students to have a blast getting creative but also gives them plenty of opportunities to practice their speech sounds. It's a fantastic way to make speech therapy fun and engaging during the winter season. Enjoy the snowy, speech-filled fun!
