Description

Need differentiated homework, scaffolded learning before a new unit, extra review before a quiz, or a self-directed station? This no prep, solving linear systems of equations review worksheet will fill all those needs and many more!

This practice worksheet is specifically focused on solving linear systems of equations graphically, yielding one solution. The first six problems have equations given in slope intercept form. The last four problems have at least one equation requiring students to rewrite the equation before graphing.

This linear systems of equations review worksheet includes four sections:

Review:  fully completed example problems with step by step solving instructions

Practice:  four straightforward practice problems

More Practice: four additional problems, two requiring equations to be rewritten in slope intercept form

Challenge:  two challenge questions, perfect for early finishers and those students ready for problems that are a little more interesting

The difficulty level increases as you move through the sections. Assign as many problems or as few as you like! I have created several versions of this worksheet so you can tailor your instruction even more to the specific needs of your students. Check out the rest of this series:

⭐️ Solve Graphically: One, None, Infinite Solutions

⭐️ Solve Algebraically: Substitution Method

⭐️ Solve Algebraically: Elimination Method

⭐️ Solve Algebraically: One, None, Infinite Solutions
⭐️ Compare Methods: Graphically, Substitution, Elimination

Understand that solutions to a system of two linear equations in two variables correspond to points of intersection of their graphs, because points of intersection satisfy both equations simultaneously.
Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection. For example, 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 = 5 and 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 = 6 have no solution because 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 cannot simultaneously be 5 and 6.
Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately (e.g., with graphs), focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.
