Description

Students will love using these Solving One-Step Equations Digital Task Cards. A fun way to reinforce necessary steps to solve one step equations. Teachers will love that this resource requires no grading and no prep! This is a great way to provide extra practice, homework, bell work, enrichment activities, test prep and review, and centers to name a few!

Key Features:

  1. Self-Grading: As students complete each card they will receive immediate feedback to let them know if they answered correctly or not. With correct answers, they automatically move on to the next card. With incorrect answers, they have the opportunity to try again as many times as they need. With a Boom account, teachers will receive reports indicating how much time was spent on each card as well as all answers attempted. This saves teachers valuable time and provides an accurate assessment of students' progress.
  2. Assign Online with Ease: Assign to just one student or your whole classroom. These Digital Task Cards can be assigned online via a link in emails, Schoology, Google Classroom, etc.
  3. Accessible Anywhere: Students can complete on a desktop, Chromebook, laptop, tablet, or even a phone. Boom Cards makes it easy for students to input typed answers, drag and drop pieces, and select multiple-choice options.
  4. Excellent Practice for Showing Work: Students are notorious for not showing their work when first learning to solve one step equations! In each problem, they must drag-and-drop or type in the necessary operation and number as well as the solution in order to move on to the next card. This will help students practice showing their work as well as understand the format of dropping down to a new line with each step of solving equations.

Boom Cards are an excellent way to diversify instruction and practice. They provide just enough scaffolding and support so students can feel successful. In this set, there are 3 levels of difficulty:

1. Students drag and drop both the operation and number to solve each equation.

2. Students drag and drop just the operation and type in the number needed to solve each equation.

3. Students must type both the operation and number needed to solve each equation.
