Description

Equations Hot Seat: I play this as a game after the lesson on solving equations with rational numbers. I line the student desks up in 5 groups in a single file line. I put the first problem up on the Smartboard and every student must work out the problem. Once the back student finds the answer, they pass their answer up to the person in front of them. If that student agrees with the answer, they continue to pass it up until it gets to the front student who then writes it on a whiteboard and holds up the answer. If at any time a student disagrees with an answer, they must pass it back to the person they got it from until they agree on an answer.
