Description

This is an activity for groups of three students to practice solving rational equations using 3 different methods –cross multiply, using an LCD, graphing calculator. Each group is given 3 activity sheets. Each activity sheet contains one rational equation with 3 boxed areas to solve the equation in each of the three ways. The sheets are rotated so that by the end of the activity each student has solved 3 different rational equations by using a different method for each problem. It is a great way to review and compare the 3 methods and show students that there is more than one way to solve a rational equation.
