Counting Spiders
Math Matching Game
Numbers 0-10
If you are looking for an engaging way for your students to work with the numbers 0-10, then this may be for you!
Included in this spider-themed download:
- Matching Game: 22 game cards (11 matching pairs)*
- A cover card and instructions
*2 versions of this game are included in this download. One set of number cards has the number printed clearly in the lower right-hand corner and the other set does not. Please choose the version that works best for you.
Play is simple. Choose the cards you'd like to use, making sure each card has a match. Place the spider/spiderweb cards face down in rows on one side of the playing area and the number cards face down in rows on the other side. Partners take turns turning over 2 cards (one spider/spiderweb card, one number card). Players count the spiders on the web and identify the number on the number card. If the pair matches, that student collects the cards. If not, turn the cards back over and continue with the next player. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner.
Suggested uses:
-Match spider/spiderweb to numbers (print one set of cards)
-Match spider/spiderweb cards to spider/spiderweb cards (print 2 sets of cards)
-Match number cards to number cards (print 2 sets of cards)
-Print multiple copies of the cards to play popular card games with your students or simply use them as flashcards.
-Mix up the number cards and have the students put them in order.
Fun for math center time, small groups, partner work, independent work, indoor recess, fast finishers, and more!
The cards are approximately 3.75 inches in height x 2.5 inches in width.
The cards are in color only and are not editable.
Printing on card stock is recommended.
