These spring themed 2D shape sorting mats are perfect for shape recognition, sorting by number of sides, edges, corners and vertices. There are 52 sorting mats and 80 spring themed shape cards. They come in color and black and white! This center will help your students identify and sort basic shapes. Images include a bird, ladybug, bee, flower and snail!

Simply print, laminate and cut the mats and cards you want to focus on! Students then match each card to its mat. Alternatively you can add Velcro dots on the mats and the back of the cards.

Set 1 : Match the shape

Set 2 : Match the shape to the number of sides

Set 3 : Match the shape to the number of edges

Set 4 : Match the shape to the number of corners

Set 5 : Match the shape to the number of vertices

These can be used as a center, morning tubs, in small groups, independent play, partner play, for fast finishers and more!

These task cards cover the following 16 shapes : circle, square, rectangle, triangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, heart, oval, star, diamond, trapezoid, crescent, parallelogram and semi circle.
