This is the project for you and your students!

Students will use a variety of materials such as colored pencils, markers, and paints to create mandalas inspired by the life cycle of plants and animals.

Students will be introduced to the concept of mandalas and their symbolism as a representation of the natural world. They will apply knowledge life cycles appropriate to their grade level to create their own mandala. As they create, they will consider the colors, patterns, and symbolism that best capture the essence of each stage of the life cycle.

Whether you're a classroom teacher or an art instructor, this Life Cycle Mandalas project is a great addition to your lesson plans. It is best for grades K-2, but is suitable for adaptation across all grade levels that study life cycles. Students of all ages and skill levels can benefit from this lesson because differentiation is included, making it an accessible and enjoyable activity for everyone.
