Description

Your students will love to practice adding and subtracting on the number line within 15 by counting up and counting back using this spring math center game set.

Here's how this spring math game works!

Following the directions on each of the clue cards, they'll land on a number and cover the carrot on the number line. Five carrots in a row wins!

Here's what this spring addition and subtraction set includes!

* 135 clue cards (printing at nine per page) with two-step directions, e.g. "Start on 2. Go up 6. Cover that carrot!"

* Number lines (1-15) at two levels of support: with and without "go up" and "go back" arrows. Easy differentiation!

* Enlarged number cards (1-15) for building a number line on the floor. Hop along it to add and subtract!

* A four-in-a-row game that uses the Cover Those Carrots addition and subtraction cards.

* A practice/assessment page with answer key

How can you use these number line activities with your students?

* All of the activities work well in math centers.

* Put 20 or 30 clue cards and a set of number lines in a ziptop bag with some cute erasers as markers. Instant math tub activity! Good for sending home for extra practice, too!

* The enlarged number cards are a great way to keep your students active while they learn! Hopping as they count up and count back is a great way to help your students really feel how the addition and subtraction processes work.

* Use the cut-and-glue page for independent work, as an activity for your sub tub, or for informal assessment.

* Math intervention and RTI teachers, both the cards and the four-in-a-row game will allow you a close-up look at how your students use this addition and subtraction tool, and the opportunity to model and correct as needed.

*NOTE This game is also included in the larger set of math games,

Spring Math Games and Activities for Kindergarten.
