Description
Are you looking for a free addition craft or free subtraction craft? Perhaps a free spring craft? Are you teaching missing addends? This is a cute, easy, and no prep art idea for your bulletin board or door decor. It is ideal as a free 1st grade math center!
It is spring inspired, but it is a craft that can be used year round. It is an addition/subtraction activity based on the grade 1 common core standard:
Understand subtraction as an unknown-addend problem. For example, subtract 10 - 8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8.
Although designed for 1st grade, it is suitable for other grades.
This is NO PREP for you, simply print and go! This craft is easy for students to complete, as they simply answer the sums and then color and cut out the tulip.
There are 9 different tulips which vary in difficulty with numbers 1-10. Print which tulips/however many you like. There is also a tulip with blank sums, so you can write your own addends!
I have created this craft as a freebie so that you can assess the quality of my work (if you are interested in my paid crafts).
