Spring has finally sprung! Here are 32 spring vocabulary picture cards to use in therapy. The following vocabulary is included: Gold coins, shamrock, leprechaun, rainbow, cloud, sun, grass, seeds, grasshopper, ladybug, butterfly, caterpillar, hoe, flowerpot, garden fork, spade, flower, nest, bird, birdhouse, rain, raincoat, rain boots, umbrella, kite, baseball, bat, bubbles, rabbit, egg, jellybeans and basket.
You can use these cards for:
Describing (tell 2, 3, 4 facts): When given pictured spring vocabulary (flower, baseball, etc.), Student will define the word by providing 3 important details (category, function/what we do with it, what it’s made of/composition, etc.) on ___% of opportunities using an organizer/visual prompts as needed.
Identifying: When shown 3 pictured spring vocabulary words, Student will identify the word by its definition/description on ___% of opportunities.
Recall: After being shown 3, 4, 5 pictured spring vocabulary cards with each one labeled aloud, Student will recall the missing vocabulary card on ___% of opportunities when one is removed.
Sentence Formulation: Given a pictured spring vocabulary word, Student will use the word to produce a complete and grammatically correct sentence on ___% of opportunities.
Phonological Awareness: Identify number of syllables, identify initial sound, identify final sound, etc.
Games: Make 2 copies and play Memory or Go Fish.
I have also included 4 blank cards that you can write on to add your own spring vocabulary. These cards are great for speech therapy language groups but can also be used to address carryover of articulation, voice and fluency skills.
