I used this resource with my homeschooling grandchildren. The resource is a four-page PDF, and it teaches your student-scholars to take a scientific approach to nature and watching things grow, particularly in the Spring. This is not a "one and done" kind of lesson, as students track the growth of plants from seedling on, and has a number of factors that the young "budding" (I'm a grandfather, I GET to make bad puns!) scientists can track. As Leovani, our 1st grader, said, "This is cool! I get to be a scientific farmer!

I absolutely love this resource! I am not a science teacher, I am an ELA teacher, and Middle School at that; however, I also help homeschool my grandchildren who are Pre-K through 3rd grade right now. This resource was easy to use, easy to follow, and my students/ grandchildren enjoyed becoming "scientific farmers", as my 1st grade 5-year old said! Thank you!
