Use these task cards instead of worksheets to get students working with square roots and cube roots of perfect cubes. Students will practice identifying the perfect square root and cube roots of numbers, solve for square roots and cube roots in an equation, and solve for x when the perfect square has a -1 exponent.

These task cards support 8th grade math standards CCSS 8.EE.A.2 and TEKS 8.2B

These task cards come in both printable AND digital formats. The digital format is built in Google Slides to easily assign to students, and includes answers so students can check their own work.
