Here is a fun and interactive way of celebrating St. Patrick's Day and practicing addition skills at the same time! This mental math activity can be used individually for students using their own device, or as a whole group by projecting it on a Smartboard. Each letter of the alphabet is given a number and students must find the "value" of 10 St. Patrick's Day words or phrases by using their addition skills. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace to find the correct answer. This activity is self correcting and gives students chances to fix their mistakes. Students start on slide 4 and use present mode to complete the activity.
