Description

This fun St. Patrick's Day Counting on a Rainbow math craft page is one of my most requested activities by students and teachers, which is why I wanted to create a digital Google Slides version as well for those who are distance learning or need easy technology integration.

Students love creating their own rainbow craft using colored cereal pieces and counting how many of each color they used. Now, they can also do an interactive St. Patrick's Day digital version because we all know how much they love using interactive technology!

What's Included:

You will download a PDF file that contains:

  • a printable St. Patrick's Day Counting on a Rainbow math craft page with directions
  • links to a digital St. Patrick's Day Google Slides version (10 slides) and an answer key (10 slides)
  • directions for using the Google Slides with students
  • links for setting up Google Classroom

🌈 How the St. Patrick’s Day Math Activity Works:

Printable Version:

Students create a hands-on St. Patrick’s Day rainbow craft using colored cereal.
Then they count how many pieces of each color they used and write their numbers.

Digital Google Slides Version:

Students read the instructions on each slide and drag and drop the correct number of cereal pieces onto each color of the rainbow. This interactive St. Patrick’s Day math activity keeps students engaged while practicing counting and number recognition.

📚 Skills Practiced:

✔️ Counting
✔️ One-to-one correspondence
✔️ Number recognition
✔️ Writing numbers
✔️ Reading color words
✔️ Comparing quantities (more/less)
✔️ Simple math discussions

You can extend the learning with math questions such as:

• Which color has the most?
• Which has the least?
• How many more red than blue?
• How many fewer green than yellow?
