The dice goes in the top right corner to show the answer to the addition question. Have your students move the gems to make other addition sentences with the same answer. For example if they roll a 4 they can do 2 + 2 = 4, 1 + 3= 4 and 0 + 4 = 4. They can also try reading the number sentences backwards and changing the sign to subtraction to learn about number families.
