Description
St. Patrick’s Day Themed Math Puzzles | Subitizing Practice & Matching Activities | Spring Math Center:
This is such a fun St. Patrick’s Day Themed learning activity that can be used in so many ways.
There are #20 shamrock puzzles (with 3 different parts that you will need to cut apart). The top part of each shamrock has the numerical number 1-20 on it and then the two bottom parts of the shamrock have tally marks (on one section) and ten frames (on the other section). Your students will identify each numerical number and then practice subitizing to find the correct ten frames and tally marks that show that number. Then they will place them together to complete each shamrock puzzle.
I would laminate these math puzzles for better durability.
Objective: To help your students identify numbers 1-20 as well as practice subitizing using ten frames and tally marks to complete each shamrock puzzle.
Prep: These St. Patrick’s Day Themed number puzzles are simple to download and print. Once printed, you will need to cut them out and then cut through the two lines two separate the three pieces of each shamrock number puzzle. You could either print these on cardstock so they do not rip as easily or I prefer laminating them.
Directions: Once printed and cut out your students will complete each shamrock puzzle by identifying each numerical number 1-20 and then identifying the ten frames and tally marks that show that number and placing them all together to complete each puzzle.
