Description

Sticker tickets are a great classroom management tool that emphasize positive reinforcement. Vinyl stickers have become very trendy, and students love putting them on their water bottles and folders.

How it works:

Step 1: Buy vinyl stickers. You can find packs of around 200 stickers for about $5 on Amazon.

Step 2: Explain to students how they can earn sticker tickets. (ex: following classroom norms, showing kindness, showing effective listening, etc.)

Step 3: Pass out sticker tickets to students and/or have students recognize each other.

Step 4: Designate a specific time in the day for students to redeem their sticker tickets. (ex: end of the day, after they complete an assignment, during recess, etc.)

*1 ticket = 1 sticker

What's included:

-8+ color ticket sheets

-1 black and white ticket sheet

*If you're trying to save colored ink, I recommend printing the black & white version on colored paper.

-Sentence frames to help students verbally recognize their peers and reward individual students with sticker tickets.

Print and go:

Type your name on the sticker tickets, and then you're ready to print and go! I usually ask students who might be having a tough day and need a break or a student who is finished with their work early to cut them out for me.

Ideas of where students can put the stickers:

-Water bottles

-Folders

-Binders

-Pencil box

-Laptop

These have been great for when I want to reward a student for good behavior or being responsible, but do not want the distraction of picking a sticker to interrupt our learning. I staple them to assignments, hand them out when I catch someone being good, or when someone is being proactive and responsible.
