Stretching Lesson: Static, Dynamic, and PNF
Share

Description

A direct instruction lesson for athletes about three different types of stretching and their benefits/potential risks. This lesson is formatted for teacher-led instruction, but could easily be adapted for student-paced by rewriting the speaker notes.

This could be a great sub lesson for dance classes/teams when no dancing substitutes are available!

I used this lesson for my high school Movement for Athletes/Dance Wellness classes! They were always worried about stretching in class because they heard it decreased explosiveness. This lesson led into our build-your-own-warm-up group activity.
