Description

These three Google Slides presentation lessons introduce students to the basic fundamentals of string instruments, how they function, and how they compare to each other. Emphases are placed on simple string theory, parts, shapes, pitch range, and sound production. Instruments covered include violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar (acoustic and electric), mandolin, banjo, ukulele, piano, and harp. Use these presentations independently, or in a series that focuses on instrument science and familiarity. Student friendly information, images, and videos are included to make the lesson fun and engaging for all learners. Bellwork, Checkpoint, and Closures activities are incorporated. I strongly encourage educators to implement their own teaching styles by facilitating discussions, asking questions, making accommodations, and utilizing active participation.
