Description

A clear and concise 8-page study sheet on the endocrine system which covers all topics typically taught in a high school anatomy, AP anatomy & physiology, or Science Olympiad unit on this subject. Topics include: functions of the endocrine system, homeostasis, steroid vs. non-steroid hormones, positive and negative feedback loops, hypothalamus, pituitary, pineal, thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, adrenals, pancreas, ovaries, testes, as well as common endocrine disorders involving hypersecretion and hyposecretion.

This product is part of my Study Sheets line of resources, which aim to condense a large amount of curriculum content into a compact but detailed document, science CliffsNotes style! Study Sheet resources typically feature multiple pages of bullet point notes organized by subtopic, summary tables, and labeled diagrams to communicate information. Study sheets can be used by students before, during, and after a unit of study to review course material, clarify misconceptions, and study for assessments.

I purchased this as a study guide for our Science Olympiad Team - along with a couple of other resources from this seller. The material was presented in a clear format - easy to use as a study guide. They won our state tournament - so thank you1

Hi Aimee, Thank you for the positive review! I’m really glad that your team found success at your state SO tournament. I am an SO anatomy coach for B Division, so when I create anatomy resources, my goal is to cover 90% of the required SO content in a clear way for my own MS learners, but make it detailed enough that anyone can use them. Thank you letting me know that my resources worked for you. I will start work on resources for the next 3 body systems this summer! Sincerely, Douglas Enns

NGSSHS-LS1-2
Develop and use a model to illustrate the hierarchical organization of interacting systems that provide specific functions within multicellular organisms. Emphasis is on functions at the organism system level such as nutrient uptake, water delivery, and organism movement in response to neural stimuli. An example of an interacting system could be an artery depending on the proper function of elastic tissue and smooth muscle to regulate and deliver the proper amount of blood within the circulatory system. Assessment does not include interactions and functions at the molecular or chemical reaction level.
