Description
Snowman Math Puzzles | Subitizing Practice & Matching Activities | Winter Math Center:
This is such a fun winter-themed learning activity that can be used in so many ways.
There are #20 snowman puzzles (with 3 different parts that you will need to cut apart). The top part of each snowman has the numerical number 1-20 and then the middle and bottom part of the snowman have tally marks (on the middle section) and ten frames (on the bottom section). Your students will identify each numerical number and then practice subitizing to find the correct ten frames and tally marks that show that number.
I would laminate these math puzzles for better durability.
Objective: To help your students identify numbers 1-20 as well as practice subitizing using ten frames and tally marks to complete each snowman puzzle.
Prep: These winter-themed number puzzles are simple to download and print. Once printed, you will need to cut them out and then cut through the two lines in the middle of each number puzzle in order to separate the #3 different parts. You could either print these on cardstock so they do not rip as easily or I prefer laminating them.
Directions: Once printed and cut out your students will complete each snowman puzzle by identifying each numerical number 1-20 and then identifying the ten frames and tally marks that show that number.
