Description

This hands-on activity is a fun way to help your children build number sense while practicing subitizing (the ability to quickly identify the number of objects in a set by looking at them instead of counting them). Children will learn to subitize using ten frames, dice, dominoes, tally marks, fingers, and groupings of fish.

All sets include 1-12 cards, with the exception of the finger cards which include 1-10. These cute and colorful cards can be used either as a whole class “circle time” activity or in small group instruction. They can also be put in a math center for the children to work on individually or be used as flashcards to help your children practice subitizing quickly.

This resource includes the following:

• Instruction page with sample photo

• 12 colored number headings

• 70 colored subitizing cards

I used this as a game to help my students with their counting and recognizing numbers. I liked it a lot and they did too.
