Description

The Summer Break QR Code Activity is the perfect way to engage students with learning, technology, group/ independent work, and a mini room transformation for summer should you choose to decorate. This 15 problem activity allows students to review the following 6th grade math topics: ratios and rates, fractions/decimals/percentages, computing with multi-digit numbers and decimals, multiplying and dividing fractions, integers and the coordinate plane, expressions and equations, functions and inequalities, surface area and volume, and statistical measures and displays.

Note, some problems are similar to questions from other QR code activities

**There is a print version and a digital version in Google slides. **

Print the problems and laminate. Students will need a device that can read QR codes (cell phone, iPad, tablet, laptop/desktop with a camera, etc.).

The activity is designed for students to work in small groups but students can work individually or in partners. Print the problems for each group or hang around the room and students can start at different spots. This activity can also be shared digitally.

Students will solve the problem and record work on the recording sheet. Using the camera on the device, students will scan the QR code card near their answer that will alert them whether they are correct or not.

No supplies required! When students obtain the correct answer, they get a choice of a one minute fun break! When students are incorrect, they must fix their answer and get a choice of exercise movements to complete. See the preview for more details!

Happy teaching!
