Description

Surface Area Footloose task cards activity is a fantastic way to get students moving while finding surface area of rectangular prisms, pyramids and cylinders.

Surface Area Footloose cards require students to:

1) Find the surface area of:

  • rectangular prisms/cubes
  • cylinders
  • triangular prisms
  • square pyramids

2) Find side length of a cube, given the surface area.

3) Solve word problems that require finding surface area of the above shapes

This easy-prep surface area resource includes:

  • 30 Surface Area Footloose task cards (set with a background and a set without)
  • Footloose grid
  • Answer key
  • Notes/doodle sheet: this little extra is a quick way to introduce or reinforce the formulas for the surface areas of different shapes – students can keep in their notebooks as a reference

⭐️There's also a digital version of these surface area cards (includes a Forms quiz), AND a mini-bundle of the print and digital.

⭐️This practice activity pairs well with the surface area lesson, with notes, practice and exit tickets.
