Spring is here and the flowers are blooming. Here are flower themed task cards for counting syllables. Each card has a spring vocabulary picture and 3 numbered flowers (black and white version included). The student or therapist/teacher says the word aloud and then the student circles the numbered flower (1, 2, or 3) with a dry erase marker to indicate the number of syllables (the student can color the flower in the black and white version). You can also make 2 copies of the cards and have the students play Memory while working on syllables. I’ve included 4 blank black and white task cards so that you can add your own spring vocabulary.

This product includes the following vocabulary: mitt, baseball, bat, rabbit/bunny, leprechaun, pot/gold, rainbow, shamrock/clover, butterfly, sun, umbrella, basket, chick, egg, grasshopper, frog, kite, ladybug, cloud/rain, mushroom, flower, puddle, birdhouse and dragonfly.

These activities are not just for your auditory processing students but can be used with your articulation, language, voice and fluency students. You can use them for group therapy, individual sessions and classroom push-in. This can also be used as an independent activity.
