This resource features 6 no-prep pages that equip 4th and 5th-graders with the vital skill of time measurement and conversion between 12-hour and 24-hour clocks. This offers a variety of activities that make learning about time both fun and informative. Students will explore the intricacies of clock reading and time calculations through hands-on exercises and real-world applications.

Students will do:

  • Measure time in seconds (sec)
  • Write time using 12-hour and 24-hour clocks
  • Solve word problems involving time in 12-hour and 24-hour clocks

This will give your students practice reading second hand, converting 12-hour and 24-hour time.

This resource includes 6 non-prep worksheets:

Second Hand of the Clock (1 page): Students will read the second hand and determine how many seconds it takes.

12-Hour and 24-Hour Clocks (2 pages): Students will convert time between 12-hour and 24-hour clocks. They will also read the timeline to determine the time in a 24-hour clock! This is a great way to see if your students can do conversions and read both times properly.

Time Word Problems (3 pages): Students will solve real-life word problems in regards to time and give their answer in 12-hour and 24-hour clocks. This is a great way to test your students on how time is applied in many daily life scenarios.

The answer key (1 page) is provided at the end of the pack.
