"This was a great and simple resource that I was able to use as a 1st grade teacher and then again in 3rd grade! I'm impressed with how simple it is to make the activity more challenging or provide more support depending on the student's needs."

Description

Easily incorporate reading and writing into your math block with these fun and engaging telling time activities! They're a great way for students to practice telling time in a meaningful context.

Read About Time
“Peep’s Perfect Day” is an 8-page beginning emergent reader about time to the hour. In the story, Peep and his friend, Pip, spend the day at the zoo together. On each page, there is an opportunity for students to interact with the text by writing and showing the time on the clock that the characters did a certain activity.

Also included are two text-to-self writing prompts that students may complete after reading the story.

Write About Time
“A Peek at My Day” is a great way to have students connect reading, writing, and math to their everyday life! Students write about activities they do at certain times during the day and show the time on the clock. Ten cover options included so hopefully students find one they can color to look like themselves!

There are two options available to best meet your students’ needs:
•one booklet provides a short space for writing one sentence
•one booklet has room for several sentences and space for an illustration

Bonus Activity!
Inside the product is a link to a free clock hat template on my blog that is a nice complement to these activities.

Click on the PREVIEW button to take a look at ALL that's included!
