Description
Thanksgiving Math Center Shapes Recognition Activity in a fun Turkey Math Center.
Thanksgiving Math Activity
A great math station for kindergarten and preschool.
This is a set of turkey-themed shapes mats.
Kids read the shape word and find the corresponding turkey body.
Shapes included (11 shapes): circle, rectangle, triangle, square, oval, heart, pentagon, hexagon, trapezoid, moon (crescent) and diamond (rhombus). A total of 13 pages (26 in both color schemes).
There is a version where all turkey feathers are the same colors for kids who can already read the words and color version where each turkey is a different color for kids who are still learning the words.
You can laminate for durability and put double-sided tape or Velcro on the shapes. You can hide shapes around the room. I sometimes ask everyone who finds a shape to come, show me and tell me what shape they have. This can be great for ESL and EFL students.
