The Memory Box Project
Share

Description

This is a comprehensive writing project that makes writing fun! Students spend time reflecting back on some of their most cherished memories and then creating books to present to their families. Even the most reluctant writer loves to tell stories about their lives so this writing unit is an engaging addition to any teacher's repertoire! Included are: lesson plans, rubrics, a letter to parents, and instructions on how I utilize it. I have seen the most amazing things happen with my reluctant writers and their parents love the book!

This is a great activity for the fifth grader/graduating "seniors" of the school to do in May.

Thanks so much! My students have shown so much growth in their writing because of this project. They LOVE to talk about themselves! :)
