Description

This is two activities that allow students to show their understanding of "The Star Spangled Banner". The first is a comic strip where students can illustrate each phrase of the star spangled banner. Just simply decided what to draw can help students reach an understanding of each phrase. The second activity is an activity in which students can rewrite each phrase of the anthem to show understanding. It also includes the anthem itself to project onto a smartboard or projector.

This activity I used for when I was absent. When using pictures students were able to understand the meaning of The Star Spangled Banner. My students struggle with English so it allowed them to visually see and understand. Great resource!
