It is a Tic Tac Toe game to practise Past Simple for ESL/EFL students. It would be useful for school kids who learn English as well as for ESL learners of any age. Play and learn!
It is also perfect for online classes. You can draw with your student just on the screen.
In this game you'll find worksheets to practice different types of
sentences: affirmative, negative, interrogative and mixed and different types of verbs: regular and irregular.
What is included:
- the grammar reference for students(Past Simple rules)
- 10 worksheets (4 regular verbs, 4 irregular verbs, 2 mixed verbs)
For each type of verbs (regular/irregular) you get :
- a game with affirmative sentences
- a game with negative sentences
- a game with questions sentences
- mixed game (positive, negative sentences and questions, 3 in 1)
How to play:
Students play in pairs. Student 1 chooses a square and makes a sentence with the prompts. For example, it is a smiling emoji and words "he/cook". So student 1 has to say "He cooked". When student 1 says it correctly, he draws a cross in the square. Then student 2 chooses a square and makes a sentence with the prompts. After that he draws a circle/naught. The game continues until one of students forms a straight line of crosses/naughts.
