Description

Step into a time machine! Since a person's ideas are shaped by their upbringing, it is important to teach students about the time periods when important people were growing up. This time machine Power Point could be used to introduce the childhoods of Paul Revere, George Washington, John Adams, Daniel Boone, Benedict Arnold, Thomas Paine, Abigail Adams, or Martha Washington.

This glimpse into 1745 would also be great for anyone studying colonization, the revolutionary war or anything else about the 1700's. This gives students real life connections that they don't always understand in our current world, such as a lack of technology and the difference in gender roles. It also touches on slavery and apprenticeship. Let your students step into the time machine and experience 1745 in a way they are sure to remember.
