How was your summer vacation? Students love the book, How I Spent My Summer Vacation by Mark Teague. I have created a complete five-day reading lesson that includes a mini-lesson on sequencing, the text with comprehension questions, vocabulary with activities, and a quiz. These plans connect reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. There is also a Google Slide link so that you can project this to your class. I hope your littles enjoy this as much as mine do! UPDATED QUIZ
This Google Slide presentation is the perfect complement to your third-grade government unit. These slides also cover Georgia state government. Included in the presentation is a song, video links, a read-aloud book link, and sorting activities. There is a four in a row game that can be played by dividing your class into two groups, used in small groups, or used as a formative assessment. Georgia standards covered: SS3CG1 a-c.
Whether your students are having spring break, or just need some "learning" activities while at home during this difficult time, this idea board is just what they need.
Student Data in one place? YES, PLEASE! There are four covers to choose from. Print as many data pages as needed. When you print, you will need to choose front-to-back printing.
This digital binder will help you streamline your lessons and save you a little time - of which we know there's not enough of. Behind each group page are five blank planning pages - enough for a week. I did add some extras at the end. When you are with your groups, you can view it in slideshow mode unless you are taking notes. At the end of the week, you can download your completed plans into a PDF document. At this point you have a few options, you can either print them to archive into a binder
During your Thanksgiving unit, your students can learn how to make a simple corn bread like the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims how to make. This will be a terrific, but simple, "How To" activity for the students.
A fun game for students to play, while at the same time practicing their number sense and addition facts. This can be added to your google classroom or you can project and play with small groups.
This is a fun way to practice new vocabulary. Students write their words in any box they wish. You may call out the definition, synonym, antonym, etc. The choice is yours! If you want, you could also have students only choose 8 words and mark the middle box as FREE. Have fun!
