Most of us have seen some variation of the lesson that's been floating around Facebook and Pinterest for years and years that discusses how words are like toothpaste that's been taken out of the tube. We can't take them back completely. If you haven't yet, just check out Pinterest for variations on the toothpaste lesson on choosing words carefully. It can be an impactful lesson in any classroom!

This is just a simple poster I made to accompany that lesson for any classroom that chooses to use that lesson to discuss how we use our words. I hope it helps illustrate an important point to your students (or your own kids) too!
