Description
Ready to start practicing Dilations individually?! Add this activity to your teacher toolbox!
A great partner, matching activity! Students will each be given a set of 12 problems to work through. They will be given coordinates (only 4, including coordinates in all four quadrants) and a rule. The students will need to discover the new coordinates utilizing the given rule. When complete, the students new coordinates will be the same. If the partners do not match their answers, someone or both have an error.
Also included are graphs that allow the students to graph their coordinates. The graphs have enough space to have an interval of one and fit all of the 'new coordinates' onto the graphs. The intervals can be changed, but the graphs are a bit small to do that nicely. I included a larger page graph that can be utilized too. An idea is to print off that graph, insert it into a dry erase sleeve or screen protector and have the students graph the original coordinates and the new coordinates for each problem and comparing before moving onto the next problem.
Great way to get students working collaboratively along with a self-checking component! Resource is print ready too - purchase, download, make copies and hand out to students :)
