Description
In this activity students use their knowledge of twelve basic functions to match each function to its properties and characteristics. Students cut out all of the cards and then match accordingly. Each of the twelve basic functions has a card with its graph, equation, domain/range, increasing, decreasing, and constant intervals, and end behavior. This card matching activity can be catered to the specific needs of your classroom! You could use as few 24 and up to all 72 cards depending on the properties and characteristics that you have focused on in class. You can customize the answer key to your needs by highlighting only the rows that students are supposed to complete for your class. This activity can be used in a variety of ways including as an in class pairs activity, interactive notebook page, or individual assessment of student understanding.
