Two-Step Equation Homework/Practice Worksheet
Share

Description

This resource can be used as in-class practice, homework, or an additional worksheet for reinforcement of solving two-step equations. Two-step equations with fractional coefficients, integers, and the distributive property are included. I use this as homework for my students following my lesson on solving Two-Step Equations and solving Two-Step Equations (w/ rational coefficients and distribution).

A teacher copy of the worksheet is included. The practice/worksheet can be hole punched and placed right into a student's binder or copied at 70 - 75% to create a size that would fit into a composition sized interactive notebook.

Solve word problems leading to equations of the form 𝘱𝘹 + 𝘲 = 𝘳 and 𝘱(𝘹 + 𝘲) = 𝘳, where 𝘱, 𝘲, and 𝘳 are specific rational numbers. Solve equations of these forms fluently. Compare an algebraic solution to an arithmetic solution, identifying the sequence of the operations used in each approach. For example, the perimeter of a rectangle is 54 cm. Its length is 6 cm. What is its width?
