Description
Teach your students to use parallelism, a grammatical structure that poets, writers, and speechwriters use, to make their writing more lyrical and more effective. When two or more parts of one or more sentences have a similar form, a pattern is created, and it gives writing or speaking rhythm.
Repetition is a common element in parallelism, and in this activity, students take a look at examples of parallel structure.
This resource includes tips and worksheets on which students create examples of parallel structure in their own writing.
